If you’ve ever seen me share my morning routine, you’ll know that I take my supplements religiously. Over the years, I’ve become more attuned to how my body works, and what it needs, including supplements for areas I need boosting. Now, as I enter my 30s, I’ve started investing more in my skincare routine, and with that comes the holy grail: collagen.
Over the last month, I’ve started taking Feel Pro Collagen, the world’s first vegan collagen food supplement. It’s aimed at improving the elasticity of skin, as well as the overall health of skin, hair, and nails. I’m quite picky when it comes to supplements, so here’s my honest review of my first ever collagen supplement after 30 days of trialling it.

My Daily Supplement Routine
For the past decade, I’ve been taking supplements on a daily basis. For my menstrual health, I like to take a daily iron supplement, and I find it also helps support my energy levels and concentration. I choose to take this in liquid form for better absorption. Then, to support with SAD, I take a vitamin D supplement, starting in the Autumn and taking it through to Spring. I find it helps to dull the winter blues, and keeps my immune system in a better state. Now, after turning 30 this year, I’ve now added in a collagen supplement to support with skin, hair, and nails. However, it’s taken me a long time to find the right collagen supplement, because I don’t like taking animal by-products where I can help it. When I heard about Feel Pro Collagen, I thought finally – a vegan collagen supplement for me!
Vegan Collagen Is 4x More Effective Than Animal Alternatives…
Whether you’re vegan, cruelty-free, or not at all, according to Feel, their new vegan collagen formula ‘absorbs four times better due to its molecule size (100x smaller than collagen peptides)’, making 1 gram of Feel Pro Collagen the equivalent of 4 grams of animal or marine collagen. It’s four times more effective, and it’s the only collagen identical to human collagen, containing all 18 amino acids.
How To Take Feel Pineapple Pro Collagen
Feel’s Pro Collagen is the world’s first vegan collagen supplement. This is what made me want to try it – I try to avoid eating animal by-products, and I only use cruelty-free beauty products, so while I’ve been offered collagen supplements to review in the past, none of them appealed. Feel Pineapple Pro Collagen is different, and alongside its ethical ethos, it also looks lovely! It comes in a pretty pink tub, made of cardboard with an aluminium foil seal. And not only is it pretty – it’s fully recyclable!
In the mornings, I like to make up a small glass of Feel Pineapple Pro Collagen as per the instructions on the tub. You only need to mix in two level teaspoons (10g) of the vegan collagen powder with 200ml water, which means one tub will last a full month.
I find the vegan collagen powder best mixes when I place the powder in the glass first, mix with a small splash of water to form a paste, and then add in the rest. 200ml is not much water at all – a small glass will do – and that makes it quick and easy to make up, without needing a measuring jug or measuring spoons.
Now, let’s talk about taste. With most supplements, the flavour isn’t much to write home about. My iron supplement has an acidic apple taste which I don’t mind shooting down first thing in the morning, but only because I know there’s real health benefits attached. However, with the Feel Pro Collagen, I actually quite like the flavour.
Pineapple & Grapefruit, or Peach & Strawberry?
I chose the Feel Pro Collagen in the Pineapple & Grapefruit flavour, and it’s a nice combination – the main base flavour is pineapple, with a little kick of grapefruit towards the end. I quite like this combination – not too sweet for a morning supplement, and enough to mask any medicinal taste. It actually tastes quite similar to powders you might add to a smoothie, so with my next batch I think I might try making berry smoothies with it too. And there’s also another flavour – Peach & Strawberry – which sounds like it would be sweeter, and perhaps good in a morning smoothie or bowl of overnight oats.
My Honest Review of Feel Pro Vegan Collagen
I’ve been taking care of my skin for the past decade. I’ve been a bit of skincare junkie if I’m honest – I like luxury skincare, and have quite an extensive skincare routine, with serums, creams, masks, and more. I couldn’t live without retinol. And so collagen is a natural addition to my overall routine. I swear by drinking at least 2 litres of water a day for good skin, so why not a vegan collagen supplement too? I’m so happy this exists and is now a core part of my supplement routine.
That being said, have I noticed a difference in my skin since starting Feel Pro Collagen? It’s been almost 30 days and while there isn’t a considerable difference, I’m also aware my skin is quite well looked after. I’d like to keep it that way, so will continue to take Feel Pro Collagen, as by doing so I do think I’m taking better care of my skin. The brand notes that taking just one 28-day course of Feel Pro Collagen can reduce fine lines and wrinkles, so I’m trusting in their science that it will also help to prevent and/or reduce their appearance over time too.
In addition to all this, I have to say that I have nothing against ageing. I’m quite excited to age gracefully, with grey hair and wrinkles to signify that I’m a wise wise woman. However, taking better care of myself and my skin across that time is a key aim of mine. And I’ll be using Feel Pro Collagen to support that from now on.
My Overall Rating: 9/10
This is my first experience with using a collagen supplement, and overall I’m happy to continue taking it. I invest a lot in my skincare routine, and think a collagen supplement has been missing for a long time – but now, thanks to Feel, there’s a vegan collagen that’s right for me!
In terms of making up the collagen drink in the morning – I do think the powder could be easier to make up, and the instructions should be changed to highlight how it’s best to make it into a paste before diluting fully. However, once you know how to do it, it’s quite simple.
I also like that this collagen supplement comes as a powder. Just like some waterless beauty products I’ve tried, this format helps to save on carbon emissions compared to a liquid supplement, and saves on packaging compared to capsules.
