Why Choose The Acer Vero Range?
Navigating the world of eco-friendly tech is quite difficult. Often, there is a compromise to be had; if you choose new, you’re creating demand for new materials. If you choose second-hand, you’re likely sacrificing on the latest software and features. The Acer Vero range provides the best of both worlds, using recycled materials wherever possible while providing top specs.
Acer Vero laptops boast a range of eco-friendly features, including:
- Production uses 30% less CO₂ compared to standard laptops
- Certified Gold by the Global Electronics Council’s Electronic Product Environmental Assessment Tool (EPEAT), which considers the entire product lifecycle
- Chassis made of over 70% post-consumer recycled plastic and bio-based oyster shell material
- Touchpad made using ocean-bound plastic
- Comes in recycled cardboard packaging, printed with eco-friendly inks
- Designed with circularity in mind, as the chassis can be opened with a standard screwdriver
Plus, Acer has partnered with Plastic Bank across the entire Vero range. For every Aspire Vero laptop or monitor purchased and registered, Acer will facilitate the removal of 5,000 plastic bottles from the environment. This ambitious initiative aims to collect 30 tons of ocean-bound plastic waste in 2025, preventing the equivalent of 2.5 million bottles from polluting oceans and simultaneously creating opportunities for communities in need.
My Review of the Aspire Vero 14 Laptop

I’m just about to start my Masters degree – I’ll be studying Law, which I’m both super excited and super nervous about! – and I wanted to make sure I was equipped with a laptop that would be fast, reliable, and also transportable. My current laptop struggles to keep up if I have too many tabs open, and crashes a lot. So when Acer offered me an Aspire Vero laptop to try, I jumped at the chance!
Because of its portability, I went for the Acer Aspire Vero 14/15. After a month of use now, I feel like I can give it a good review. Obviously, I was taken with its eco credentials, and I’m pleased to say that the laptop stands up well against standard laptops. It takes a matter of seconds for it to load up, and the battery lasts all day. The screen is Full HD, and it is noticeably crisper than my old laptop. And it runs so smoothly, even when I have too many tabs open!
The Acer Vero 14 comes pre-loaded with Windows 11 Home, meaning my laptop is secured with biometrics, encryption, and advanced antivirus defences. It also makes accessing my University modules a breeze, and I can attend online lectures using Microsoft Teams flawlessly. Plus, the laptop also includes AI-powered enhanced video call technology with Acer PurifiedVoice™, and PurifiedView™ 2.0.
And, when I use the laptop for work, it handles this with ease too. It can run hefty photo and video editing software without complaint thanks to its 2 TB M.2 SSD storage. It connects to my other devices using Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and even has USB, USB Type-C, and HDMI ports built-in.
Finally, as a 13-inch laptop weighing just 1.4kg, it is perfect for transporting between home and university. Even when its placed in its sleeve (made from recycled plastic bottles), it fits neatly into my Longchamp Le Pliage Bag, or my Sandqvist backpack (both bought second-hand!)
