My skin is fussy, and that means all of my skin, not just my face. I’m a self-confessed skincare addict, and I’ve spent an equal amount of attention looking after my body. It’s why I wanted to shine a light on three of the best body care products I’ve discovered this year – one of which has revolutionised my skin for the better – as part of my trio of guides on skincare, body care, and haircare. And, as with all my beauty reviews, all of these products are cruelty-free as standard.
Facetheory Blemicalm Spray
I have had bacne since I was a teenager. Just like acne, bacne is not a hygiene issue, but it certainly can feel embarrassing. I have used all sorts of products to try and clear my skin up – including scrubs, soaps, antibiotics prescribed by my GP, and even an appointment with aggressive dermatologist who wanted to put me on roaccutane “at a discount if you sign up today”. This summer, I’ve finally discovered a solution: the Facetheory Blemicalm Body Skin Clearing Spray (gifted). This little spray has worked wonders on my skin, combining 3% azelaic acid with salicylic acid to help clear up my acne while still being gentle overall. I use this twice-daily after showering, and complement it with a once-weekly moisturising session with the Glow-AHA Refining Body Cream (also gifted). My skin has never been so clear, and the spray’s innovative point-any-direction nozzle makes it so easy to apply. This is a new cannot-live-without product for me.

Josie Maran Body Scrub
Speaking of scrubs… This year I’ve dabbled with some more luxury body care products, and the Josie Maran Sugar and Argan Oil Body Scrub quickly became the scent of my summer. I picked this up in Sephora while in Montreal and will be sad to run out, as it doesn’t yet ship to the UK. I love using a body scrub on my legs ahead of shaving, to give a really soft, polished feel, and this not only works wonders for shaving, but it also smells absolutely gorgeous in the scent ‘Topless Tangerine’. Better yet; you can also buy refills!

L’Occitane Almond Shower Oil
And speaking of refills… The best refillable item in my bathroom has to be the L’Occitane Almond Shower Oil* (gifted). I have refilled this bottle 5-6 times already this year and I don’t know if at this point I’m addicted?! Not only is this golden elixir the most delicious smelling shower gel you’ll ever discover (think soft frangipane deliciousness), it also softens the skin and leaves me feeling like a peach.
L’Occitane get bonus points for being a B-Corp and working with farmers within their supply chain to ensure fair work and fair pay. Big love!
