My second edit with Wolf & Badger is now live! It was a joy to share my announcement as a Wolf & Badger Tastemaker with the Conscious Staples edit last month, and I’m now back to share my Quiet Luxuries edit.
Over the years, I’ve come to redefine luxury as handmade items made transparently and thoughtfully. Luxury fashion isn’t inherently sustainable, and with the news of Loro Piana decimating indigenous farming practices, and Armani being caught using sweatshops, I think it’s time we redefine luxury as real, careful, thoughtful craft. It’s the independent makers and designers who are really embodying luxury!
For this edit, I had to pull together my Meem Label dress, and its beautiful wrapping technique, alongside the ethical handmade sweet olive drop earrings by Marie June Jewelry. I’ve previously said how much I like the quiet luxury aesthetic, and the draping detail of the dress, paired with the earrings’ delicateness, and my hand-crafted Alienina knotted bag… Just perfect.
