Sock It To Me: I’m Peper Harow’s New Ambassador! | Ad

I am so excited to share today’s news – I’m partnering with Peper Harow as their new ambassador! You may recall my first post featuring Peper Harow, where I cosied up with their bed socks (and can’t sleep without them ever since!) Well, since then, I’ve been liaising with the team, and even visited their factory in West Sussex last month. As a local fashion brand, I was so inspired by the way they work, with a small, friendly team making their socks, from the knitting through to attaching tags, all in one place.

The reason I love Peper Harow is because they embody everything I want to see in fashion: local production, sustainable materials, and designs that last. And those designs appeal to everyone, with minimalist styles (my favourite!), maximalist patterns, and the traditional heritage styles too. So it’s a joy to be working with them more closely – I’m honoured!

Think Sustainable Socks, Think Peper Harow

Peper Harow is a British-made, sustainable socks brand, established in 2013. They are quintessentially British, being named after a Parish of the same name in Surrey, with strong cricket roots and therefore a strong need for socks! However, despite the traditional appearance, Peper Harow has a contemporary approach to fashion, working with state-of-the-art machinery and integrating sustainable principles throughout their supply chain.

Upon visiting their factory earlier this year, I discovered that their socks can be made from thread to tags in less than a day. Despite this incredible speed, the Peper Harow team takes great care in their designs, integrating sustainable yarns such as organic cotton and Global Recycled Standard (GRS) recycled cotton, and reducing their waste to less than a pair of socks per batch made. I met a few people from their small team, who kindly showed me how they operate the machines and hand-stamp each pair of socks with the Peper Harow logo. I was honestly blown away, both by the technical nature of the sock manufacturing, and the kind reception I received from everyone working there!

For me, this is the key to true sustainable fashion. Great care for the employees, and great care for the garments!

Luxury British-Made Socks

Now, when I look at my sock drawer, I do wonder how my other pairs of socks were made. For Peper Harow, the true transparency they showed was brilliant, and I can’t wait to share more of that with you soon.

If you are looking for good socks, I really recommend Peper Harow, not just for their sustainability, but also for their longevity. I’ve been wearing my pairs of Peper Harow socks for 6 months now, and can safely say that they have withstood lots of wear! I walk around Brighton a lot, and these are some of my favourite socks to wear in my Grenson boots, as they’re mid-weight and soft. You can actually check the gauge of Peper Harow socks in their descriptions – for example, my Beige Paisley Socks are 168 gauge. Put simply, the higher the gauge, the higher the longevity of the sock.

And of course, I can’t forget to sing praises for my bed socks! I love my pair so much that I gifted all the women in my family with the same bed socks for Christmas. They made for a great stocking filler, and while the weather remains cold I know everyone will appreciate them!
