Sustainable Beauty: 5 Credentials I Look For

Sustainable Beauty: 5 Credentials I Look For | Curiously Conscious

I’ve been on the lookout for kinder beauty products for a few years now – I’m sure you know that better than most! So to celebrate Organic Beauty Week this year I decided to share the five credentials I look for with Wolf & Badger Magazine!

Personally, I like products that are animal-friendly, low-impact, and use clean ingredients – and of course, they have to look good on my bathroom shelf!

However, it can actually be quite hard to suss out which brands are truly sustainably-minded, and which ones are greenwashing. That’s why I look for a few forms of certification, and also prefer to go with small, independent brands who can stay true to their values.

Read my post on Wolf & Badger find out what to look for, and what’s on my radar beauty-wise…

Love the inclusion of shopping small, even if a big company *sells* a sustainable product if you are giving your money to a company that isn’t ethical. Small businesses who genuinely care are definitely the way to go! 🙂

Yes! I recently found out that money spent with small businesses in your local area also benefit the local economy around 20% more than if you go with a multinational corporation. So it really does support more people and your local community too!
