I know, I know. November is a little bit early to start getting excited for Christmas. Trust me, I’m conscious of posting about the “big day” more than a month in advance… But if you’re like me, you’re probably already organised with wishlists and shopping lists. You might have found the decorations in the attic. You may have spotted that Coca Cola advert. And you may be a teeny tiny bit excited too…
Buy Less, Buy Better
I’m a big believer in the philosophy that less is more. Presents should be thoughtful, well-chosen pieces, rather than a smattering of plastic bits and bobs that break in the first month. And Black Friday, well, it’s just another Friday.
On that same note, I’m looking forward to bringing you a few gift guides in the next few weeks, with a variation in styles and price tags – but always the same great ethics.

Never Too Old for an Advent Calendar
Growing up, we would see our grandma almost every weekend, and in the run up to Christmas we always got excited for her to bring over advent calendars. It was only when I went to university that the tradition stopped – and I’d officially been deemed “too old for an advent calendar”.
While my grandma is always right (of course!), I will be enjoying my first “adult” advent calendar this year. Instead of a chocolatey affair, I’m going to be counting down to the 25th of December with my Green People Beauty Advent Calendar*!
