Valentine’s Day is almost here… and I think it’s actually quite a lovely event! Globally, we’re celebrating love, and it can be romantic, platonic, self-love… Whatever. Whatever your plans are, here are a few ideas that will (hopefully) bring you joy and also do a little bit of good too.
Colour my love
Growing up, I remember my Mum saying a homemade card is so much more lovely than shop bought, and I tend to agree. Well, if you’re not able to go the full distance, why not go for a mindful colouring card? You can do a little colouring and chill out, they can do a little colouring and chill out… Here are a few of my favourites: Enchanted Forest*, You’re My Anchor, RHS Colouring Postcards*
Make raw chocolate
So, I may have only given raw chocolate a go once, but now that I’m dairy-free I’m inclined to start making it a lot more regularly! In the meantime, here’s my recipe to make love-heart shaped raw chocolate.
Dine out healthily…
If you’re a Londoner, why not book in at one of my favourite healthy hangouts? And that includes you solo diners – sometimes it’s so nice to go out by yourself and enjoy a meal. Follow the link to read about my top five places to eat, and the food is good no matter what your diet type. Just make sure you’re early in booking as these places are already way too popular!
…Eat in healthily
For a more chilled out evening, why not eat in instead? I’m really looking forward to trying more recipes from Deliciously Ella with Friends*, so that could be an option, or perhaps pick up an organic meal?
Grow the love
No matter where you live, why not try growing your love with a little seed kit? It’s the perfect time of year for planting seeds, and my favourite Seed Balls are super easy to use too. Whether you throw them over a plant bed or into a pot or two, you’ll get a good mix of pretty flowers without having to worry about seed depth!
