New Beginnings

Esperance Graffiti in Paris

Welcome to Curiously Conscious! This is the first official post of my new green living blog.

The concept of Curiously Conscious came about after moving abroad to Paris for 16 months, where I experienced a period of clarity; while I acknowledged that landfills are bad for the environment, and eating too much junk food will do bad things to my body, these had always seemed like widely-spaced specks in an unfinished dot-to-dot. Yet by diving into a different culture, one that promotes natural, greener alternatives, I realised that not only is everything interconnected, but these issues are more important than most!

This is where Curiously Conscious comes in – my growing passion for finding healthy practices and alternatives has surpassed my journal and keeping this knowledge for my reading pleasure! I’d like to share it with you and anyone else interested. There is a twist, however. Writing as an undergraduate, you’re right in assuming I don’t have much in the way of resources, but I’m pretty happy with the way my life is! So all the tips, tricks and topics featured here will be simple to follow and cheap to try out, and will hopefully make you feel fitter, healthier and more earth-friendly too.

As a rule, you can expect everything posted on Curiously Conscious to fall under one (or more) of the five categories below:

  1. Healthy, natural food
  2. Balanced fitness
  3. Ethical, cruelty-free beauty
  4. Green living inspiration
  5. Conscious fashion

And with that, I’d like to wish you a happy reading, and feel free to let me know your thoughts in the comments!
